Richard is originally from Newcastle. He trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, The National Youth Theatre Of Great Britain and holds a Masters in Actor Training and Coaching from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

His theatre credits include: For New Diorama Theatre, Dr Jacob Bronowski in SECRET LIFE OF HUMANS (London, Off-Broadway and Edinburgh), George Orwell in DOWN & OUT IN PARIS AND LONDON (London and Edinburgh) Alan Turing in THE UNIVERSAL MACHINE. Richard trained in classical singing and has a bass baritone voice. His range is E2 to G4 (belt to F4)

His accent is RP.

He excels in stage combat.

Richard is also a Movement Director whose main interests lie in devised work, expressionism and Viewpoints. His credits at the New Diorama Theatre include: LEFT MY DESK (Lost Watch Theatre Company) DOWN & OUT IN PARIS AND LONDON, SECRET LIFE OF HUMANS (both NDT) and MISS JULIE (The Faction Theatre Company).

Richard is based in London with bases in Manchester and Newcastle.
